Operation Storybook

Operation Storybook is a week-long Read-A-Thon when individual volunteers or groups read fun books and share exciting stories with Sheltering Arms children. Come help us celebrate the joy of reading and encourage literacy skills!

Who can volunteer?

We welcome all volunteers 10 and up (volunteers ages 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult)

  • Teacher's Helpers
  • Play Buddies
  • Reading Pals
  • Assist with Sheltering Arms Events
  • Share a Special Talent/Skill
  • Facilities Clean-Up
  • Administrative Assistance

When can I help?

Our hours of operation are from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM

 

Volunteer shifts are available...

  • Mornings from 9:00-12:00
  • Afternoons from 2:30-5:30
